International Students’ Graduation Ceremonies

June 28 and 30, 2014. Graduation ceremonies for the First MSMU international students were held at Radisson Slavyanskaya Hotel and Surikov Hall (Суриковъ Hall).

The Dean’s Office for international students is proud to declare this year graduation class to be the second numerous throughout the University’s history. The event was attended by parents, relatives and friends of the graduates, University officials as well as diplomatic staff of Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, Brazil, China, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Nigeria, Syria, Sudan, Tunis.

Among 271 graduates from 32 countries 232 got degrees in General Medicine, 13 – in Dentistry, and 26 – in Pharmacy.

23 graduates from Abkhazia, Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Malaysia, Morocco, and Saudi Arabia graduated with distinctions. One of them, Ms. Laura Kharchilava (Abkhazia, General Medicine) - was awarded with the Best Graduate gold medal for excellence in studies, research and high personal qualities.
Professor Oleg Stanislavovich Glazachev, the Dean for international students, expressed gratitude the officials of embassies for their support of students and permanent cooperation with the Dean's office throughout the course.

He also thanked the University’s corporate partners for contribution to training sessions. The Dean highlighted the great progress the yesterday’s students had made since entering the University six years ago. Being plunged into completely new cultural and social environment, they coped with lots of problems mastering the profession, whilst paying appropriate attention to sports and social life of the University. Each of the graduates has acquired their initial experience in clinical, research and management practices within the First Med classes, labs and hospitals. 

Professor Glazachev wished the “just graduated” success in their lives and professional activities.
